I've put together a plugin that implements Ace http://ace.c9.io/ for the Monstra Admin.
Ace is an excellent editor for your Monstra theme files in Administration > Extends > Themes
The plugin will detect and switch highlighting modes for CSS, JS, php, includes 'code folding', and will show code errors and hints.

Please disable/uninstall codemirror if you have it.  This plugin replaces that functionality.

We've updated the plugin.

There was a permissions issue because .htaccess was not included in the plugin.

If you had problems, please try installing again.
